A Promise youth didn’t want to go to his second round of the Skills to Pay the Bills course because he believed he already knew how to communicate. His mom talked him into it, and when he came home he was very excited. He said it was nothing like he thought it was going to be, and he learned a lot that day!
He told his mom he’s excited about being in the Promise program because he’s going to learn a lot of skills to be able to work. His mom called their Promise counselor and was so appreciative about what Promise does – she sees a change in her son because he’s a part of Promise.
